On November 22, the Kinderraad of the Cuypershuis festively opened the Bouwmeesterskelder. A place where children (and secretly their parents too) can get hands-on in the style of architect Pierre Cuypers.

Together with the Cuypershuis, we selected building blocks in the colors and shapes that reflect Cuypers’ work. We also designed five models inspired by his most famous creations, including the Munsterkerk, the Rijksmuseum and of course, the Cuypershuis itself.

As you build, you’ll discover more about Cuypers and his distinctive architectural style, while being invited to further explore the museum.

During the grand opening, we hosted a creative workshop where children sketched and built their very own dream castle. An inspiring beginning for a space where imagination and architecture come together.
